Marie Marchand, B.Ed. parent, teacher, parenting consultant and co-author of bestselling children’s’ book Home from Home has over 25 years of international experience in Early Childhood teaching in Canada, Switzerland and Hong Kong. Marie’s authentic, passionate and engaging style has endeared her to hundreds of parents and teachers from Asian, American, European, mixed cultures and diverse linguistic backgrounds. Her workshops are renowned for her humour, personal examples and practical suggestions leading to immediate positive effect.

 

Marie was born in Quebec City, Canada and earned her B. Ed. in Childhood Education from McGill University. She taught kindergarten in international schools for over twenty years during which she also launched her parenting business, created and delivered courses in Hong Kong and Canada. Marie’s work is accredited by the Academy for Coaching Parenting International (ACPI) since 2010 and she launched Parenting Dialogue fulltime in 2014. She is married and divides her time between homes in Discovery Bay, Hong Kong and Mt. Tremblant, Canada.

 

Marie is engaged by parents, schools, teachers, companies and membership groups (e.g. PTA’s, Churches, Chambers of Commerce etc.) to run private sessions and workshops on all matters related to successful parenting and teaching. Marie tailors each workshop to meet participant needs and her multi-cultural background and experience is appreciated by the international communities in which she works. Marie’s clients include: ESF Educational Services, Discovery Bay International School, Chinese International School, German Swiss International School, City Kids Pre-School, Jing Jing Kindergarten, Discovery Mind, Ernst and Young, Hong Kong Speakers Bureau and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
